McCain didnt lose because some conservatives didnt like him and stayed home. The few hundred thousand people who actually know that McCain is a loon unfit for the senate, much less the presidency, didnt swing anything.
That's not what some other FReepers I've been reading have said... :-)
I guess it would be your word against theirs, then... but that's usual around here on Free Republic... a long list (in threads) of "he said" -- "she said"... LOL... and so on and so forth...
McCain lost because if your choice is between two pontificating hacks who dont say much different pick the younger, more historic one. Obama beat McCain the same way he beat HRC. Sound the same - be prettier.
Just more of the "he said" -- "she said" type of dialogue going on here... not too much changes over the years here...
Remember, female freepers only supported Romney because he looked so good. I know, because that’s what the anti-Romney folks told me. :-)
I’ve said this before — Sarah Palin will be taken more seriously as a candidate when her supporters don’t find her looks important enough to bring up in every conversation.
LMAO You are so full of it.
Feel free to tell our illustrious founder that he is full of it, too... for supporting Palin... I mean... there are people who support Palin and who will continue to support Palin, here on Free Republic and for good reason. no matter the constant chattering of the nabobs of negativity... LOL...
Go Sarah!! Damn the naysaying nabobs of negativity!! Full steam ahead!!
I hate to say this, but I have to agree with the Romneybot for once.
It's a good thing our illustrious leader doesn't agree with you on supporting and promoting Sarah Palin against the "nattering nabobs of negativity"... LOL...
Go Sarah!! Damn the naysaying nabobs of negativity!! Full steam ahead!!
Go Sarah!! Damn the naysaying nabobs of negativity!! Full steam ahead!! - Jim Robinson
New Tagline. You Palin hating purists are coming out on the wrong side bigtime.
Pres. Reagan was a long time ago.
And one of the reasons why we're losing... :-)
I'll be supporting Sarah Palin for any office that she wants to go for... Go Sarah!
Scott Brown's victory was the shot heard 'round the world II; McCain's fall will be spectacular. I hope it happens.
GOD BLESS SARAH PALIN
BTTT
And that is what I am afraid of. It’s not the liberals that will destroy the GOP, its gonna be the GOP that destroys the GOP
Cutting her slack...you know, Star, what he thinks of John McAmnesty?
Its Palin or Romney...and the conservatives will divide and be conquered as usual.
On this board, it's Mitt Romeny -- OUT! -- and Sarah Palin -- IN!...
That's the way it is, in case you didn't know it...
[and I've been that way with Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney from the first mention of either's names here for the elections...]
Cutting her slack...you know, Star, what he thinks of John McAmnesty?
As little as I do... LOL... but I still voted for him, and I would vote for him again, in another election with Sarah Palin and McCain against some Obama-type... :-)
Very SMART.... and really a cutie!
Perhaps if you and other ‘sit at home’ conservatives HAD voted for ‘Jaun McCain’ we wouldn’t be in the sinking boat we are in....you forget the congress has a say in things that do or don’t get done. And as the congress is seeing, the American people can talk loudly when needed.
I hope you are right, but I don’t honestly think he can be controlled by ANYONE, after all, we are talking about John “Maverick” McCain here - He does whatever HE believes is the right thing, whenever he believes it : | I REALLY wish Sarah had waited until after the primary.
Tatt, who is sadly remembering the bailout/stimulus fiasco, talking to his campaign staff, asking why in the HECK he was backing it, because it made NO sense. And THEY did not know why : /

Yep! The exact same sentiments I've seen repeated -- countless times -- by other FReepers on this board...
“On this board, it’s Mitt Romeny — OUT! — and Sarah Palin — IN!... “
That’s the way it should be.
But, I see conservatives dividing up as usual and putting Romney in.
...and from what I’m seeing on here and some other so called conservative blogs...(and I’m not talking about the nuisance Paulists or MittBots)...they are gonna hand the ticket to Romney.
Then they’ll come whining about how the RINO GOP screwed them. Fools.
Obama won by 9.5 million votes.
There were less than 2 million third party votes.
The ten people that told you they sat home last election doesn't make up for the 7.5 million vote gap even assuming McCain had gotten every single third party vote. The people who didn't vote weren't going to vote no matter who was on the ballot.
Math is not “he said/ she said”. Someone explain to me who these mysterious 7.5 million voters are that are so involved in politics that they had a conscientious objection to voting for McCain and Obama and yet stayed home and didn't vote for anyone.
Politics are dependent on human behavior. Behavior of an individual can not be predicted with much accuracy. Behavior of millions of people can be predicted very accurately. How do you thing congress, which normally had approval ratings in the 20's, gets incumbents reelected at such an overwhelming rate? They hire experts that can predict human behavior. It's science, not hearsay.
