I’ve been to just as many Tea Parties as you but..

Ron Paul is a fracking NUT.

No ifs, and, buts, or maybe.

Certifiable.

McDermocrat is 100 times more RINO than Palin. Supporting the traitor is a major blunder. The proof will be in the pudding.

No, just a kook whose presidency would have lead to the elimination of our largest cities.

"If she does value and respect McCain, then I'd have to question the soundness of her judgment. He's been a major enabler of some very bad policies, leaning across the aisle to work with Senator Ted, others, on some very bad legislation. He preens about his "bi-partisan spirit"; but it's all vanity."

While you are right and it is true that McCain is anathema to true conservative policies and bi-partisan ad nauseam, can the GOP already behind in seats 59-31 afford to lose even McCain's seat? We don't have the luxury of playing with House money.

This may just be a three-fer on Palin's part. She's demonstrating loyalty ( will then McCain owe her?), may help influence and reign in McCain's pesky "Maverick" side, and help integrate the Republican Party against a bigger threat: Further dominance of an overwhelming Dem superiority.

my sense is McCain is an old dog who isn't interested in learning any new tricks....

You're probably right, but he could be worse - he could be in a Snowe/Collins class.

“If they try to put a wedge between the different supporters, all that will do is give the Democrats power forever.”

Conservatives are acting like spoiled little babies and playing right into the hands of the Liberal Media.

I’m telling you right now...they are going to be stupid, reactionary, politically inept ...as usual and hand the election to ....

Mitt Romney.

It’s Palin or Romney...and the conservatives will divide and be conquered as usual.

I'll get flamed plenty for this, but truthfully - in my heart - I voted for the McCain/Palin ticket hoping that McCain would die early into the term & she could step in as president.

No flame here. You weren't alone ;-)

“...Most likely, he (McCain) was trying to leave himself maximum wiggle room in all directions. With Palin on board, he has to be careful how he wiggles.”

Ha! Ha! Isn’t that the truth! About all Rino’s...good call.

You need to go to Sarah Palin & criticize HER for complimenting Rep. Paul, not me. She did it knowing full well what she was saying.

You were saying ...

Quit using RINO to describe the traitors in the R Party whom we need to expose & kick out of office?

When the term "RINO" no longer turns out to be useful, because many FReepers would apply it to just about every Republican President we have had, including Reagan and including McCain, if he had won with Sarah Palin -- then it's basically a "nothing word" any longer; it just doesn't mean anything.

What means more is simply what a particular position that a candidate takes on a particular bill, when it comes up in the future and what he's going to vote on it. Then you've got something to talk about...

And certainly, I don't think anyone is going to call our illustrious founder of Free Republic a RINO... LOL... so you can see what he says about the "RINO" -- Sarah Palin... :-)

Go Sarah!! Damn the naysaying nabobs of negativity!! Full steam ahead!!

McNitWit has to go. He is the titular head of the Gang of 14 which includes RINOS Yellow Snow, Floozy Collins, and Loafer Grahamnesty. He’s a despicable Democrat ala his “good friend” Ted Kennedy. When McLoser gets booted out of politics, FEAR in the District of Corruption of the FLECTORATE will be a fait accompli.

I’m sorry to disappoint you, but Rep. Paul is well respected in the Tea Party movement, whether you like it or not.

I heard, nor saw, any mention of Ron Paul at the North Texas Tea Parties I attended last year. Not only are his foreign policy views out of the mainstream, but he was there with his hand out for as many earmarks as he could get. Ron likes to call them "tax credits" for his constituents.

IMO, posting those kinds of photos actually does more harm than good. The woman is beautiful, but this isn't a beauty pageant. Reminds me of that thread where there are daily posts the same kind of photos of Bush.

I don't know about that... I could post pictures of Helen Thomas instead, if that would help... LOL...

Sure, I would be glad to join FRee Republic and tell everyone how bad Sarah Palin is!

I don't necessarily agree with all the Palin bashing. But I do agree it's a big big mistake to campaign for one of the most troublesome bastards in the Senate.

Obviously our illustrious founder doesn't think so... :-)

Well, I will say that Paul supporters have more a presence in the Tea Party than the Republican Party, but I certainly wouldn't say he is well respected. In fact one of the dangers with the Tea Party movement right now is that too many of the most influential members are Ron Paul followers even though most members do not support him. Many members complain about how RINOs who do not represent them have taken over the GOP, but they are letting Paulbots do the same with the Tea Party movement.

As to Sarah's compliments of Ron Paul, well, he does have some good ideas so it was probably those which she was commenting on not his crazy foreign policy.

You were saying ...

As I’ve pointed out before, posting pictures of Sarah doesn’t really make your case.

But, they are nice to look at... much better than Helen Thomas, and I've seen enough of her... (although I did post one picture of her for comparison... LOL...).

That’s sort of what got Obama elected - no one would listen past the “image” of what he really is.

I don't think our illustrious founder on Free Republic is going on the basis of the pictures... :-)

Pres. Reagan was a long time ago. Did you think he was still in office? The times were different--very much so. You know , you folks trying so hard to erase "RINO" from conservative vocabulary, how about 'Establishment"? I like it much better, how about you, Star?

John McCain=Establishment; Lindseed Graham=Establishment; Rick Perry=Establishment...Sarah? No, she holds no office. Maybe a wannabe. We can call her an associate, for now.
