Always good, but this one is a masterpiece, as the comments attest. Judging by the number of fish thrashing in your "shootin' barrel", you rode the fine line between reality and fiction perfectly.
Cheers again!!

... its amazing how many of these satire posts get serious responses. I can just see these folks going to work on Monday and saying, Did you hear what Obama said in Ohio? When some liberal pins them to the wall, they say, It must be true. I read it on FreeRepublic.... That's the only drawback to the satire -- people carrying satirical stories around as if factual can indirectly make FreeRepublic look a little whacked. However, it's well worth the risk.
There ought to be a button, or bumper sticker, that says:
"I fell for John Semmens' satire on FreeRepublic.com"

If the readers that don’t get that it’s satire were edible fish, you’d have a feast on your table tonight John.
Good one indeed. Thanks for the ping.

In related news, for the first time since the index of economic freedom was devised, the US has dropped from the top tier (free) to the second tier (mostly free). Dragging down the US score were poor results in government spending, fiscal freedom, and corruption. Obamas Press Secretary Robert Gibbs denigrated the significance of the results saying economic freedom isnt something we monitor. Its not on the Presidents to do list. Love it! LOL.
