Well that is the best news I have heard about Senator Burr.

Thsnks for that account.

If he and his office are treating their fellow North Carolinians with such respect and with a “servant-like” attitude (which is what Senator Helms and his office staff did for all those years which is one reason Dem controlled NC kept electing Jesse Helms term after term...), then that’s a very good thing.

Now if somehow, (maybe Scott Brown’s election will do it) he could get his votes right.....we could all be happy....

Sen. Burr’s staff (he was out of town) gave my daughter, mother, and a friend a tour of the Capitol a couple of years ago. They were very polite and well-organized.

Burr has made some poor voting choices in the last few months, but he has time to turn it around if he chooses. As of now, if he’s the candidate again in November, I’ll vote for him without agonizing, but without enthusiasm. Maybe having primary challengers will get his attention.
