So, we have this 30-year-old son of the former Speaker of the House suddenly getting hundreds of thousands of dollars from supporters outside the state to buy a Congressional seat for this kid. Yet we have a perfectly good politician that actually has earned the voter's support and these outsiders are trying to out spend him and sink his candidacy.

IMO, out of state money is always inappropriate. I wanted Scott Brown to win bad, but I didn’t send money.

Up for discussion: what would you all think of a ban on out of state contributions?

Out of state candidates is a whole nother issue. Harold Ford Jr in NY for instance. NY loves its carpetbaggers, but they probably wouldn’t do so well without out of state money.
