This thank you to you is long overdue. What an article. I had wondered what had happened to this case. It was the talk for weeks and weeks. It was awful.
I see nothing came of it. It is really strange. Do you think the U.S. had a hand in his death? It sure sounds like it. And if so, why?
I am sorry I did not comment on it when you first posted it. When I read it, I was falling asleep in my chair.
Please post more as you see them. El Panama America is my favorite newspaper, but I don’t buy it every day; hence, I missed this article. Also, our friends in the U.S. need to be educated about Panama and learn that Panama is not a banana republic.
Thank you again.

Nothing has happened ever since.
1. there has never been any attempts to investigate this murder.
2. Let´s see. The FBI said at the beginning that the documents are bogus and the number on the “FBI lab report” is not a number the FBI uses in their archive system. So how come an FBI document ended up with a bad number stamped on it? Very unlikely. That was before the reporter told them why she was asking. Then they refused her FOIA request. Good one. Why? Because there´s no original. They said so themselves. “No documents under the name Franklin Brewster”. None. Where did this one come from? It says FBI on it.
3. To make sense of this, you need to refer back to the Kent Memo. The DEA folks were on the scene at all times. The FBI document was faxed from Panama City to the Prosecutor´s office. Not like the law says that it has to be signed at the US Embassy first, then to the Ministry of Foreign Relations. Where it needs to be authenticated with, you guessed it. ORIGINALS. It is a foreign document. The magic polygraphs still nobody has seen them. The “scientific” evidence they used to put 2 people in a age for 2 years and who lost their jobs and their reputation.
Today Feb 12th they informed Adelita Coriat once again that the US Embassy will not touch the matter but at the same time they cannot answer a simple question. Are these documents real? Damned if they do and damned if they don´t.
4. An infiltrated, bogus FBI agent with fake FBI credentials. I thought that was a felony. Oh well.
5. Not the US but a group of US employees got this deal together. “Operation Factura Roja” was the brainchild of corrupt DEA and other on the Colombian payroll. Then again, what do I know. It´s only a theory.....
