I don't think that most of the people being critical of Mr. Robertson actually have watched the video in it's entirety. Mr. Robertson was asking his viewers to donate money for the people of Haiti. His observation was that they have faced many disasters and lived under appalling conditions for centuries. He made reference to an actual historical event as to a possible explanation which anyone with access to a computer or library can easily look up.

I have tried to make light of his observation myself, but anyone who believes in God looks for reasons for natural disasters. He has shared this same type of observation in the past on numerous occasions; I am sure he knew that he would get criticism on this occasion also. I admire him for having the courage to speak his mind despite knowing what the consequences would be and also for being at the head of a very effective and efficient charity.

I am no supporter of Pat Robertson but anyone who actually listens to what he said about Haiti, can’t possibly fault him for it.

He asked all of us to pray for the people of Haiti, and for the country to turn back to loving God.

The liberals are doing what they always do - distorting a Christian message for their own political purposes.

Again, I am NOT a Robertson supporter...

...and find out that the supposed "actual historical event" is actually a legend. Robertson further demonstrated his historical acuity by saying that Haiti revolted against "Napoleon III."
