I don't mean to imply that you shouldn't have mentioned the misspellings -- if I were Ziegler, I'd be glad you did! All I'm saying is that Ziegler is too valuable a player to dismiss, and he's got a track record to indicate that the mistakes he makes aren't just out of laziness. It's when a so-called writer makes goofs obviously out of laziness and a kind of arrogance that I get ticked off enough to want to dismiss the writer and the piece altogether ... and sometimes do, not that it's to my credit. I suppose it's just another form of arrogance.
I do think writers should live by the motto: "When in doubt, look it up." But it's probably that Zeigler didn't really have the time. Doesn't excuse it ... just explains it.
