Correct me if I’m wrong, but without the 60th vote and 40 votes against cloture, the Demos will not be able to pass anything. So whether they seat Brown or not doesn’t matter. The current MA Senator will be there until another is seated, correct?

It is my understanding that interim Senator Kirk was appointed to serve until the very day of the special election.
