If you were in Washington DC earlier in the week, you may have seen an extra twinkling object flying in the night sky over the building that houses the Department of Homeland Security. That twinkling object was not a terrorist threat it was just the Fairy of Stupidity spreading his stupid dust over the office of the Director of Homeland Security. And that fairy dust is working very well on the Janet Napolitano maybe too well.

Yesterday the woman charged with making sure that we don't get blown up by a terrorist, made her second really idiotic statement in less than two weeks. Her first, "The System Worked" was no where near as stupid as the one she made yesterday.

You might as well just strip naked. And her face is clearly discernible. The TSA punks are gonna have a field day with this.

You are making some large assumptions here.
1. That that is actually an image taken by a security device. I absolutely believe that any security scan would never show body surfaces in living color (or its negative.)
2. That any permanet record of image do not carry a compulsory deletion of facial features.

I would be interested in answers to both those questions before I panic.

Can't answer those directly. Only making, as you say, an assumption based on a side by side comparison pic, that showed the woman in question (front & back), in Jeans and knit/tshirt. While you couldn't see the knife in the frontal view of the standard pic; in the rear view, you could clearly see see was packing a gun. The negative scan, does seem to show the ghost image of the jeans at least.

While the standard screen may not show such detail, the technology by default would provide the data to display it if desired.

It was another thread here I think. Can’t recall the title right now. I tried looking for it. Anyway, it showed her with a handgun down the back of her jeans. It was actually hiding her butt crack in the scan view.
