Craig James Rumor #6, as seen yesterday in my post, Rumors Swirl Around Texas Tech Coaching Scandal, can now be confirmed as 100 percent true! According to this report on Dallas' WFAA-TV, Craig James is eyeing the U.S. Senate seat now held by Kay Bailey Hutchison.
Below is the text of Rumor #6 as it appeared in my post yesterday as one of six rumors related to the controversy surrounding the firing of Texas Tech University football coach Mike Leach:
The final rumor floating around Texas political circles is that Craig James is being groomed by Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison to replace her in the U.S. Senate. If the senator wins the Texas governorship in 2010, Craig James will reportedly seek to replace her this year. If she loses her run for the statehouse, the political wannabe will run for her Senate seat when she retires in 2012.
Am I supposed to believe it's a coincidence that James, father of Red Raiders freshman wide receiver Adam James, made his announcement tonight, barely 24 hours his public relations representative -- Rebecca Shaw of Spaeth Communications -- told me she could not confirm whether or not Craig James had political aspirations? I don't think so!
Now, I wonder what else the folks at Spaeth Communications are hiding about Craig James, his son and the debacle surrounding the firing of Texas Tech's most successful football coach ever. Hmmm?
Piss on Craig James.
One of the most obnoxious jerks on television.
I hope the good people of the great state of Texas send him packing to Massachussetts where he played pro bowl, besides it’s a stone throw away from Disney owned ESPN headquarters in Connecticut where it seems he has made a nice reputation for himself among the MSM liberal elites .
I thought James was a rat. He fits the description. I guess that makes him a DIABLO.
Years ago, Craig James knew perfectly well that accepting cash and a fancy sports car for agreeing to commit to SMU for a football scholarship was wrong, and yet he did it anyway. When people look back at what resulted - SMU was given the Death Penalty - they need to never forget one of the main players involved in making that happen.
