Chris Matthews is a long-time member of the established media. He knows that in addition to the subject/person at hand, media (visual and print) choose photos and backgrounds with consideration to what's there and what message they want to portray to the viewer/reader. I'm sure Chris Matthews has seen pictures and videos of tea parties which never made it to print or screen - and we all know there are MANY, many pictures and videos of tea parties which never made it to print or screen!
