The word "transgendered" implies something that is a biological impossibility, at least with current medical technology.

Irrespective of what you cut-off or add-on, or what hormones you artificially increase or minimize, it is a genetic impossibility to "change" your gender. Gender is hard-coded into our DNA; you either have an extra chromosome, or you don't. It's that simple.

That should have been extra “X” chromosome, not “extra” chromosome. Sometimes the fingers don’t type what the mind tells them.

And... btw... changing a person's anatomy isn't a cure for underlying psychological trauma.

I had a long time friend who "changed."

The rationalizations for changing were full of errors and I only have disdain for the shrink that filled his head with falsities and egged him on.

No matter how many hormones he takes and how he disfigures himself he will always have XY.
