There was an email circulating that offered the following solution to the current economic crisis. Offer one million currently-employed Americans a million dollars to retire early, provided that:

1) They retire completely—this creates a million new jobs.
2) They buy a new American car—no auto industry problem since they sell a million new cars.
3) They buy a new house—housing slump taken care of.

Bingo...solves the economic problems far cheaper than Obama’s plan even if it has to be repeated each year and gets the politicians out of the loop.
