She ate and asked for more, which I thought was good. But about 2 hours later she started to shake. She wanted to be in the cold red porch and hide under the bench. So I just left her there as that is where she wanted to be.
A few hours later she wanted to come back in the house. But I had also opened the door to the garage and I know she likes to explore out there.
Then the afternoon she was so normal. When I came back she wanted to be groomed and from then on she acted normal and laid in her normal places. It may have been a reaction to the pill. But she looks pretty good now.
The wrist hurt a lot after a short nap. I had not taken the ibuprofen. So I just took some.
The Dr. will be open tomorrow. Today was an Amish holiday and the whole town was shut down.
I got out the human anatomy book and learned (relearned) that there are a lot of little funny shaped bones right where it hurts. The carpels. It is not discolored and only slightly swollen.
More later.
Did you get any info on side-effects of the pill? You may want to look on the net about it. Just like us, not every medicine works the same for everyone. When do you take her back to check if meds are working properly?
Re, your wrist...did you put some ice packs on it when it first happened? It may still help the pain and swelling, just not for more than 20 min. at a time. I fell and hurt my wrist years ago. It was a Saturday night and it really hurt. I put ice on it and wrapped an ace bandage around it. I called the doc on Sunday, and he asked me if I could move my fingers, which I could. He said it was probably a sprain or bruise, but to come in Monday for x-rays. It turned out to be a fracture of the inside wrist bone. Had to have a finger to elbow cast for six weeks then a brace for about a month more. All’s ok now, but you should get an xray to be sure. Hope you and Miss Peach turn out alright. I’ll be praying for y’all.
