Hmmm. He must have seen the polls. If this isn't a full retreat, I have never seen one.
Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) reached out Thursday evening to South Carolina GOP Attorney General Henry McMaster, the leader of a group of 13 Republican state attorneys general who are threatening to file suit against the Senate health care bill, and urged him to forgo any legal action, POLITICO has learned.
According to a copy of a memo sent by McMasters chief of staff to other GOP state attorneys general detailing the call, Nelson asked McMaster to call off the dogs, a reference to recent threats by the state AGs to file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of a Medicaid provision in the bill that benefits Nebraska at the expense of other states. . . .

That’s right, and this is one of those occasions in which Repubs sometimes back down and act nice. No, not THIS time!
So he's saying he was doing it for everyone, not just Nebraskans? He's saying that we just misunderstood because the other states were promised as future legislation for a vote today?
If Nelson's deal was that the other 49 states pay for Nebraska, then who is left to pay when the other 49 states get the same deal too?

The GOP and these GOP AGs CANNOT let up on this.
What ALL the Dems did was despicable and they need to be held to account.
We aren’t someone’s serfs.
We are free men and women.
And they are NOT our masters!
LET THE DOGS OUT!
I hope the vote is 13-0 against Nelson.
Nelson will vote yes on cloture and no on the bill.
Where there is smoke...
Perhaps those interested AG’s have started digging and Nelson has something to hide.

I hope there are people who understand legislatese who are studying this thing in each of its permutations so that we can be advised as to just what it contains when it comes up for that final vote that will send it to the President’s desk. The Senators don’t know what is in it. I suspect that whatever is finally “passed” and signed will be “found” later at the appropriate times to contain everything that the Left wanted in the first place and none of the “safeguards” that the A-Little-Less-Left thinks they have put into it.
They should certainly be deposed- in all its senses.
The real trick is to get these congressional idiots to believe that if they change their vote on the health care bill, they will be reelected in the next election. Of course, in reality, we intend to absolutely destroy every single politician who ever remotely thought about supporting any part of this legislation no matter what they subsequently do.

Do not trust any Democrat ever again who claims to be pro-life until he proves it.
Won’t work. Nebraskans aren’t stupid. Nelson is toast. He badly miscalculated the magnitude of opposition against Obamacare.
He showed that he was ready and willing to sell the lives of babies for a mess of pottage.
That cannot be forgotten or forgiven.
I wish the people in Lloyd Doggett's district would send him packing as well. He was bombarded with anti healthcare protests, but said something to the effect of: "I don't care what my constituents want. I will vote for it anyway". Unfortunately, the DUmmies in Austin will reelect him anyway.
Well the RATs will certainly vote for him, but the independents might not.
Can't we all just refer to him now as "Has-Ben" Nelson?
