From haircuts to health insurance, moisturizers to mortgages, women are charged more than men for essentially the same stuff. There's only 1 way to fight this bunk.
The January issue of Consumer Reports just came in the mail, and what I found on Page 8 shocked me. There were two bottles of Nivea body wash: one for men priced at $5.49 and one for women costing $7.49.
Why the 2-buck difference? Nivea's reason, according to Consumer Reports senior editor Tod Marks, is that the women's product is made with "skin-sensation technology," which makes it more expensive.
I tried to imagine a bigger load of bunk. I failed.

Actually, I do. I used to think that being a Gynie would be, well, kind of "interesting". Then I looked around and noticed a lot of fat, smelly women.
Interesting? Not so much. 8^)
In any case, it can't be a pleasant visit. Especially for a young girl. Honestly, if I had a daughter that first visit would be very hard for me. As it is I have two sons and I feel lucky that all those "female" things are not in my future.
Some women maybe. I dress up for myself. I buy perfume that I like to inhale.
But, no. I’ve been in situations where I was the only woman there, dart tourney, and I still wore makeup and perfume and wanted to look good. The guys liked it.

Oh, come on... We all know why! Heck, I've known it since kindergarten... Girls have kooties! So they're harder to clean, that's why their body wash costs more!

Women fall for such crap so they pay more. Ignorance is not bliss, it is costly.
Tell her to knock off the deserts, because her rear is getting wider. I'd be willing to bet you won't hear anymore about her hair color...

For the life of me, I can't figure out why I'm still single...
Dry hands are usually from exposure to to much moisture or solvents. After his shower in the morning have him rub some vaseline into his hands it will help seal the skin.
Thanks for the tip. We’ve noticed too that as we get older, skin lacks the moisture we had as “kids”. *ahem*
My girlfriend just colored her hair and we have spent the last 2 days talking about it. Please help me.

Dolar Tree has some very nice hair color for (wait for it ...) $1 ,, it’s Chinese made by a French company ... next time you color her hair ... tell her the haircolor cost $8 and isn’t sold in WalMart or even Target ... I’d just buy some decent gloves first..
They are still out there...tried a new barber several months ago, and couldn't believe it when I felt the hot lather on the back of my neck. Ah; the good 'ol days aren't completely gone...
A lot of women are way ahead of you and do buy men's cheaper products...and have for years, Einstein.
So women should pay more because men can't drive and die younger?
People in rural areas pay less for suto insurance also because they have fewer accidents!
No, private companies should charge to each group or individual whatever the market will bear. I was pointing out that the author was only including discriminatory pricing that was unfavorable to women and excluding discriminatory pricing that they benefit from.
So when you have a weekend alone you dress nicely and apply makeup and perfume? Interesting.
I think what you mean is that when you dress up for others, you do so according to your own tastes.
I always dress nicely and apply perfume. LOVE perfume.
I dress up according to the occasion. Not for others.
With a hot towel to finish off? Lucky you.
