He still has that mild concussion to worry about. I don’t know what Craig’s excuse is, though.
According to Craig James, anyway. Denied by others. He certainly didn't need to be out on the field with the real players.
Looks like Adam isn't going to be playing Sat night. Good news.
This is exactly what happened and like a spoiled brat, James ended up videotaping the room with his phone which didn’t look like a big deal.
Leach did think he was a “god” after a while at Tech which did not help this situation and ultimately got him fired by not at least apologizing on what he did.
They are both at fault in this one.

Whether or not leach thought he was a god is debatable. Its clear the school wanted him gone, for whatever reason- likely stemming from the contract they agreed to. If TT didn’t like the contract or Leach, then why even agree to it at all? They should have shown some stones and made a stand back in February if they didn’t like this guy.
I heard the chancellor on ESPN last night and it truly seemed like Leach was not listening to them at all. Maybe Leach thought he was 100% right and didn’t need to do what they wanted him to do.
Leach is an employee of the University and if your employer tells you to do something and you don’t do it then there is a pretty good chance you will be fired. Tough lesson for Leach but nothing in life is fair.
What I was referring to was your comment that Leach deserved what he got and his being not very smart. Leach's only fault was that he didn't play the touchy-feely, political correctness game, where a little pussy boy must be coddled or his whiney daddy will use his position on television to destroy a good coach's reputation.
Don't fall for the Craig James/ESPN hype. ESPN should be ashamed of itself for allowing James to use their airwaves to further a personal agenda.

Amen! Craig James last night during the Nebraska game made me sick, trying to pay it all off like a concerned dad. One of the other guys turned away from him when James was crying about it. Craig James is doing more harm than good, and if Leach decides to sue, everything James has said will be brought, including using a public stage to plead his case. I hope Leach sues ESPN too.

Good point but you also have to understand the consequences if you disagree with your employer and don’t follow what they told you to do. Personally, I did that at one time in my life and got fired. Leach did the same thing and now he has to face the consequences.
I think he should probably sue the school but I also think he should just dust off his shoes, put his mouthpiece back in and go coach somewhere else.
I think the issue here is, according to Tech, there are additional charges besides the James incident. I’m guessing this is why Leach is taking this to court. Whatever the case, the character of James will become a key factor here. I can’t imagine anyone would give his accusations any credibility with his history.

Since when does a football player suit up with a cell phone to conveniently video the “alleged” room?
If Craig James was anything near a stand-up guy, he would have said "I'm not going to use my position here in the public eye to talk about the trouble my son is experiencing", or something along those lines. I would have respected that. But his whiney little sound bites made it very clear that he and ESPN were using this episode to further an agenda.
Anyone who doesn't believe that Craig James threatened to use the airwaves to beat down the Tech football program at every possible opportunity if Leach did not crawl and beg little wuss boy for forgiveness, is living in an alternative universe.

I'll summarize: Slacker [OPINION] , entitled OPINION Adam James, son of former Patriot and now ESPN's Craig James wow, a fact!, had been admonished several times by staff for dogging [OPINION] it. After receiving a slight concussion, James, who has a history of 'injuries' that suddenly heal in time to play on Saturday [CITATION NEEDED], showed up to practice wearing designer sunglasses crying that it was too bright for him. So, with doctor approval and the supervision of trainers, Leach put James in a cool, dark equipment storage area- the size of a garage, with running water and fans- not too far from the practice field. Pansy [OPINION] James cried to helicopter daddy [CITATION NEEDED] (meaning daddy was always hovering over practice and trying to get his undeserving son more playing time), and daddy went to the higher ups. Using ESPN as his platform, Craig James played all innocent by saying they were concerned about their son's concussion.
What ESPN did report is that Adam James asked to be released from his scholarship so he could go play at SMU. Leach said no. James was also accepted on the team by Leach, at the protest of his coordinators who believe James didn't have what it took to play D-1 BALL [CITATION NEEDED]. ESPN has also failed to report that numerous coaches, assistants, former players, etc. have revealed that Adam James was a trouble kid, not a team player, dogged it at practice and used his name as an entitlement to play.
Your facts sure do have a lot of opinions couched in there. Answer this question: Why would the University fire their most successful coach in their football program's history?
Darlin’ you need to do more research. If you had done any, you would have found that every statement has been proven as fact. I suggest you go read player, coach and staff letters about James and then get back to me, k? Oh, and even Craig James himself admitted to hanging out at practices a lot. Of course, he’s too much of a loser to admit he’s nothing more than a little league dad.
