This will follow James for a long long time.

Should be lonely in the locker room.

Denied by whom? All we’re hearing is from Leach’s lawyer. If the stories are untrue, wouldn’t any and all of the training staff have called out James by now? Isn’t it suspicious that no one has spoken up?

Wouldn’t the truth have come out when the school’s legal counsel questioned the participants? Or did you not read the part of the story where it said Leach didn’t deny that the incidents happened but that he just didn’t think he did anything wrong?

Do you honestly think the entire Texas Tech administration as well as the Board of Regents would have signed off on this if Leach had done nothing wrong?

And one more thing...Leach is supposed to be, first and foremost, a teacher. Can you imagine any other professor at Texas Tech or any other school being allowed to treat their students in this manner? Or are coaches supposed to be special as long as they win? Oh...and before you start preaching about the intensity needed in coaching to win, I wonder why coaches like Meyer at Florida can win and be so much more successful without being mean and spiteful. And last time I checked, Meyer had a heck of alot more wins than Leach.

Suspicious? Not at all. The training staff, and Leach, ftm, haven't spoken out yet because they have a game 2 days hence. They, at least, have shown concern for the team, unlike the James family.

Yes, denied by Leach's attorney. And by at least one staff, apparently, via email.

We have already seen that the 'small shed' and 'electrical closet' was a lie put out by the James family. The 'guard', the 'standing up', and the 'no med/training supervision' are suspect as well.

The staff have their jobs to worry about, as well. I do look forward to the lawsuit.

What we have here is a long-time malingerer and attitude problem who showed up at practice not ready to participate to the appropriate extent (listening when coaches were going over the MSN pass defense). He complained that the light was bothering him, and was sent to a close-by, dark room because of that. He was never in any danger, he wasn't mistreated, except in his mind (but he'd been mistreated his entire Tech career to hear him tell it).

Leach was James' biggest, if not only, supporter on the team. Craig James claims he did what he did to 'make sure the chirrens are safe', but will now get to see his son's malingering, attitude, and piss-poor team commitment exposed on the national stage.

I doubt that much of an investigation transpired before the suspension, but yes, I do think that the Tech admin is exactly that stupid.

Yes, I do want him on our side. Craig James was a young man when that happened and we all do things when we are young that we might not do now. Also paying players was not really unusual in the old days. Some got caught and some didn’t. I have some knowledge of this because my uncle worked for an oil company in North Texas that routinely payed players for work where they never showed up. This went on for years and that University is still big, strong and powerful! They never got caught because they had lots of money. I think SMU payed big time for their sins. I don’t know if Tech interviewed Coach Leach or if he didn’t cooperate. I don’t know if Adam James is a Daddy’s boy or not. I will listen to all sides but I’m not going to condemn Craig James for something that lots of players and schools did when he was a kid.

Craig James was a big part of why SMU got the death penalty.

Your facts sure do have a lot of opinions couched in there. Answer this question: Why would the University fire their most successful coach in their football program's history?

So they didn't have to pay him the $800,000 bonus if Leach was still the HC on 12/31/09.

Doesnt matter if it was usual or not, it was against regulations and it was happening on the team he played on and he did nothing to stop it.
