Definetly a way to decrease the population by cutting food production. Plant trees for the ozone and require all corn to be turned into ethanol. That way we can starve those excess CO2 polluters to death and meet the cap and trade ceilings.

I wish all of Obama’s followers were aware of his foolish statements. Starvation will cut down on Health Care costs...

Stalin and Mao both intentionally starved millions of their own people to death.

It’s a fairly efficient means of genocide; saves on ammunition and chlorine gas.

If you think I’m being paranoid here, check the history and some of “Science Czar” John Holdren’s early works on population control. How many other known eugenicists can you find in the Obozo Syndicate?

There already have been a couple of overtures to regulate or license ALL means of food production, right down to the back yard victory garden and chicken coop on the pretense of “food safety”.

We might want or ultimately have to follow the lead of the pot growers who hide their crops under the forest canopy of National parks and such against government air surveillance and defoliant spraying.

The day could come when “unregistered” corn and tomatoes could be every bit as verbotten as weed is now, and you will have to be an efficient and crafty “criminal” in order to keep your family alive.

Also remember another part of the infrastructure the government has owned for many years now and can control at it’s leisure; the highway system.

Come martial law they can shut down / restrict just about ALL forms of transportation, including food deliveries.
If you live in a “dissident” neighborhood, having access to food might become difficult; once they starve you out to the “resettlement shelters” you can abandon any hope of resistance, reclaiming any of your property or freedom.

Having renewable local food sources - which the government seems to delight in hassling, regulating, taxing or bullying out of existence for some reason - can be literal life savers.

We have one of the few surviving apple orchards left in America (the Chinese were allowed to undercut most of them and drove them out of business) right across the road from us, which gives me a good feeling, as it’s going to take a while for people to raid it clean if they can’t drive here. Of course what we’re going to do off season is another matter... there are only so many deer that come to feed there, and the coyotes have done a job on them over the past couple of years.

Food stockpiles will be hard to defend against criminal gangs or military / paramilitary units with superior forces / firepower very likely going house to house raiding and plundering, and are not all that portable in a hurry so we need to learn how to live off of the land to a certain extent.

We live in interesting times.

Yes, I’m aware of that.

Not long ago I read the story of Gareth Jones, the young reporter, who told of the Ukraine famine that Stalin deliberately allowed to occur. Four million people died because of it in 1932 and 1933.

Jones was later murdered under strange circumstances.

We live in frightening times!

Oh, but there was no Ukrainian famine by Stalin--

--we were assured of that by Pulitzer Prize-winning Walter Duranty of the New York Times.

Holdren the megalo-Malthusian, Rahm's brother Mengele Emanuel, Anita Mao-Mao, and Islamobama President of the Islamist Republic of Rezkostan.

Where Al Gore's flatulence is the fuel of post-industrial academe.

2010 would be a good time to scrape Bizarro-Nazism off our shoes.

Similar to a program they did in the Great Depression...they paid farmers not to plant while millions were starving here.

These people are a disgrace.
