German Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke out against the repression of protestors in Iran and the violent attacks on democracy activists. DW World reported:
In a strong statement to the press on Monday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel called the actions of Iran’s state security services “unacceptable.”
She called on them to “avoid any further escalation of the violence and to pursue political dialogue to peacefully settle internally disputed matters,” and also to respect their commitment to the International Pact on Civil and Political Rights, which guarantees the right to peaceful protest.
Meanwhile… Barack Obama was off to the beach in Hawaii.

I know this from personal experience. Young Iranians love blue jeans and rock and roll but they still hate us and blame the US and Israel for the world’s problems. If we took out Iran’s nuke sites they would quickly turn their anger from the regime to us.

We should follow Merkel and put pressure on the ruling regime in all ways possible.

Just curious—what’s your sample size? I ask, because I’ve known a handful of Iranians (less than 5) and they seemed to be reasonable, pro-western values, type people.
