On a late Christmas Eve run to the local grocery, I realized how much Christmas cheer I’ve really been spreading! Due to my new addiction to the children’s Christmas gift, a Nintendo Wii, I’ve made this relatively brief.

Well, FRiend, working for a living is not really something that is encouraged, hasn’t for many years.

It is truly sickening, I know, I see this stuff too.

Lets not forget that time of the month when it becomes common to see hispanic families push 3 carts through the store and one of them is packed down with meats.

I worked dairy and usually got called up front when that happened. To bag.

Probably had an new Escalade out in the parking lot. More and more “SNAP” recipients have been driving Escalades.

We SHOULD be upset when we see things like this! For years, it’s been minorities who have taken advantage of our welfare system, but we now have a new class of welfare recipients, white welfare mothers, who intentionally do not marry their child’s father so that they can collect assistance. And it seems as if the parents of these girls are just fine with this!

I don’t know the race of the women in the story that was posted, and it certainly doesn’t matter. Wrong is wrong!

Welfare programs were created as a bridge to help out families, short term, but as we all know, it is now a way of life, generation after generation, for many, many families. And those of us who still have work ethics are forced to subsidize this selfish way of life for those who will not take responsibility and provide for themselves and their own families! And it’s only going to get worse.

They are called Cardinal cards in VA. Single mothers (sluts) use them all the time. Family of 4 gets around 800.00/mo. When I was in college, I barely could feed myself. I have always wondered why our society treats sluts and losers better than struggling college students, who end up in the end financing the liberal agenda.

I know. I saw such as that just the other day in my own grocery store.
The lady was dressed to the nines.
It p*ssed me off to think of how hard my family has worked to get where they are today.

Seen it in another way. The university set who spend their lives filling out forms to go to graduate school at public expense and stay there for years graduating to work at the U. When they really get it down, they can get themselves in position to travel the world on various “projects” or as “chaperons” to “underpriviledged.” Yup. Living’s good at the U.

After last election I told friend not to call anymore.

We have a top notch grocery store in our area. The only people who can afford to shop there are the high paid executives and food stamp recipients. The cost of the food there is too high for everyone else.

It's sad that in America today we're being forced to provide other people (freeloaders) with a comfortable, care free life style - before we're allowed to even feed our own families.
It just isn't right.

Years ago, when I was a student at LSU and could barely afford the ingredients for chicken gumbo, I saw three women in Burkas in front of me at the Winn Dixie, all paying with stamps. (It is a debit-type card, but welfare just the same). You couldn’t see anything but their eyes.

I see this every single day. And then have to listen to my idiot governor Ed Rendell saying that there aren’t enough people getting these benefits.

What sort of freak eats frozen garlic bread. If the complicated science of buttering bread and sprinkling it with powdered garlic has you confused, I have no respect for you anyway.

There’s nothing egotistical about this at all. You are absolutely right in your observations. About 10 years ago, I was living in a different area than I do now, & there was a woman renting a house on the corner across from the house I was renting. She had 3 kids, ages 4,6, & 7. I just had my daughter, who was 4. She played with these kids occasionally when they came over...to eat! Yes, I said that right, they came to my house when they were hungry. So, that Christmas Eve, I had cooked a huge pork roast, with tons of carrots & potatoes & took it over to the woman’s house so that she & her children could have a nice meal. A few hours later, I went back to see how things were going & I walked in to find 6 adults drinking at the table, with empty plates beside them. They were playing cards & obviously feasted on the dinner I brought over. So, I walked over to the kids, who were sitting on the floor in an empty room with no furniture & asked if their bellies were full. They said they didn’t get any dinner, & their mom told them to have cereal...but they couldn’t find any cereal.

Arrrg! I was pissed! I told the woman I was taking her kids for her for the night to sleep at my house (she was more than happy to get rid of them in her stoned state). I cooked more food & let the kids stuff themselves.

Come to find out, this woman was on low income housing (she paid absolutely nothing for her rent), she got over 500.00 a month in cash assistance, & over 400.00 in food stamps. And there she is spending it on herself & her friends while these poor kids suffered.

/Ramble off

I have a daughter that is a social worker, her job places her in the homes of welfare/food stamp recipients.

My daughter has 4 children, they do not have cable, high speed internet, cell phones ( except the one from her job).. They spend about $700 on groceries a month.

Now the people that she SERVES...have LCD tvs, cable, cell phones and usually a newer computer.. they also get (for a family her size) $900 food stamps.free breakfast and lunch at school..and unlike the working poor...they can also use that food stamp card to access food pantries at the end of the month get free winter coats and toys from charities. They get federal/state heat help and free telephone as well as the best medical insurance in NYS..medicaid

They also got a “stipend” at the beginning of the school year to get the kids ready for school while working people struggled to get those expensive supplies.

At some point one has to ask themselves if they are fools to pay taxes so these people can live better than you do.

You should work in a pharmacy! Nearly every Medicaid recipient has had their nails and hair done recently (what else do they have to do all day?) and to think we get our money (at a cut-rate percentage) six months (at least) later from the government to cover their prescriptions.

Don't let anyone tell you that Medicare and Medicaid are the answer to 'health care'. Because, they are the worst at reimbursing pharmacies and doctors for the services and drugs.

I can't think of an insurance company that is allowed to wait (AT LEAST) six months before they even attempt reimbursement! And, the government is also the worst at denying claims. If they don't have a legitimate reason for denial they will invent one! Who is going to settle that? Well, that same government agency, of course!

If you think we are screwed now just wait until 'health care' (& other Obama crap) is enacted!

******

BTW, did anyone see the report on Fox News about the FAA having a $5 MILLION 'conference' on the taxpayer's?!

I’m seeing a lot more of this also even though I live in a middle class area with almost no minorities. It has suddenly become fashionable here for girls to get pregnant and not get married.
I’ve been behind quite of few of them in the grocery line picking up huge cakes , desserts and junk food paying with the cards while yapping on their cell phones.

BTW Kroger’s has some great sales and many of them double coupons. If you watch the sales carefully and stock up on the items that you normally use when they go on sale you can reduce your grocery bill substantially. Many times it is much cheaper to buy the name brand item with a coupon than it is to purchase a store brand. There are coupon clipping sites where you can purchase them if you don’t buy the Sunday papers. Also this place is great for finding out what the best grocery buys are for the week and what coupons match up for them http://www.southernsavers.com/

Oh and the Wii , it’s an awesome time waster . I love Mario Kart !

Hey, I know exactly where you are coming from.

I grew up in the city and went to college in Jersey City NJ so I have seen plenty of this crap.

The difference between your wife and those women in front of you is that your wife actually has a conscience and real priorities. I have not seen the inside of a salon in a long time either. I don't care about things like that. I worry more about what my kids have rather than myself. I am sure that you and your wife are the same way and God bless you for it.

I think that what gets under everybody’s skin is that we are footing the bill for these people and we really shouldn't have to. Especially if they can afford salon visits. I definitely don't want to pay for somebody to eat better than my family either.

But this will always go on because of the pervasive socialist mentality of our government and plenty of people without consciences.

I don’t know how to say this, but we could afford socialism and to send each kid to school free if we didn’t have to pay for these idiots and their spud.
