Well, FRiend, working for a living is not really something that is encouraged, hasn’t for many years.
It is truly sickening, I know, I see this stuff too.
I know... and I know that many others have seen this sort of thing, also. I just felt the need to vent at this one. My wife was dying to go up to the group and say “You’re welcome!” very cheerily as they left. I advised against it. ;)
Lets not forget that time of the month when it becomes common to see hispanic families push 3 carts through the store and one of them is packed down with meats.
I worked dairy and usually got called up front when that happened. To bag.
Freep-mail me to get on or off my pro-life and Catholic List:
Please ping me to note-worthy Pro-Life or Catholic threads, or other threads of general interest.
Probably had an new Escalade out in the parking lot. More and more “SNAP” recipients have been driving Escalades.
We SHOULD be upset when we see things like this! For years, it’s been minorities who have taken advantage of our welfare system, but we now have a new class of welfare recipients, white welfare mothers, who intentionally do not marry their child’s father so that they can collect assistance. And it seems as if the parents of these girls are just fine with this!
I don’t know the race of the women in the story that was posted, and it certainly doesn’t matter. Wrong is wrong!
Welfare programs were created as a bridge to help out families, short term, but as we all know, it is now a way of life, generation after generation, for many, many families. And those of us who still have work ethics are forced to subsidize this selfish way of life for those who will not take responsibility and provide for themselves and their own families! And it’s only going to get worse.
They are called Cardinal cards in VA. Single mothers (sluts) use them all the time. Family of 4 gets around 800.00/mo. When I was in college, I barely could feed myself. I have always wondered why our society treats sluts and losers better than struggling college students, who end up in the end financing the liberal agenda.
Yes, things like this make you wish you could truly starve the beast.
Sad thing is I have known people that DID need help to get back on their feet, and they had a terrible time ‘qualifying’ for aid, likely not the right ‘look’ or something, I don’t know.
I intentionally left the race out so that we could focus on the injustice of the system, not the race of the recipients.
How do they get these cards. Isn’t their income ever checked?
I totally agree. I have no problem helping people who really are in a situation and need a hand up. I’ve done it in the past, sometimes when it’s been tough to do. I just despise the fact that the government is so arrogant as to tell us how our money will be divided and who will and will not get the unconstitutional welfare.
That is what I would do. heh.
“...unconstitutional welfare.”
That IS the problem, we keep watching unconstitutional crap passing us by, and becoming law!!!
My wife works with a girl at the truck stop who has no kids, lives with her parents for no rent, and receives unemployment because she doesn’t get 40 hours a week. She has every conceivable amenity, works around 30 hours a week, pulls unemployment, and laughs all the way to the bank. She has proudly informed my wife that her only monthly bill is for cable. All of her other money, including that supplied by Georgia taxpayers, is spent on hair, nails, clothes, etc. Proudly.
I know. I saw such as that just the other day in my own grocery store.
The lady was dressed to the nines.
It p*ssed me off to think of how hard my family has worked to get where they are today.
Sad thing is I have known people that DID need help to get back on their feet, and they had a terrible time qualifying for aid, likely not the right look or something, I dont know.

Not black or brown, forget it.
Seen it in another way. The university set who spend their lives filling out forms to go to graduate school at public expense and stay there for years graduating to work at the U. When they really get it down, they can get themselves in position to travel the world on various “projects” or as “chaperons” to “underpriviledged.” Yup. Living’s good at the U.
After last election I told friend not to call anymore.
