Prophetic. Read it and weep.
And what put an end to those God-less Communist Christmases?
A 46 year effort by America to defeat the Soviet Union and its evil empire, led by a man of tremendous conviction against a system that separated man from God—Ronald Reagan.
Reagan, Pope John Paul, and Margaret Thatcher shouted down the forces of co-existence(jimmah Carter),and prevailed thanks to the American military, and the American taxpayer.
Those nations are free today because we brought freedom to them, on our dime, too.
When we lose our freedom, NO ONE WILL COME FOR US.
That’s why we have to fight, here and now, for a new birth of freedom before it is extinguished from the Earth altogether.
Merry Christmas!
And thank you, Lord, for the gift of freedom. May we not squander it.
DITTOS! Long story short, I have spent a month and a half of my life in South Russia in the late 90’s and experienced the “Christmas” and New Year’s holidays, and was able to observe (amongst everything else) a taste of what the OP was talking about, even being “out of communism” for 10 years; the effects of the aftermath still largely remain. Life in Russia has begun to improve as freedom is taking hold, although there are attempts to take it back. I wish I had the time and ability to post up the hundreds of pictures I’ve taken of what it really looks like there now and people, THIS is what Socialism/Communism does to you and the aftershocks of that will resonate for decades to come.
On this Christmas day, we need to count our blessings and thank God for His precious gift to us, and we as a nation need to rebirth and preserve that moment of history, and bring us back to where we need to be as individuals and as a nation, as we have now been awakened to the precious freedom that we have taken so much for granted, is under the biggest attack under this administration than any other in US History.
But on a bright note on this joyous day—
God Bless and Merry Christmas to all!

“Meanwhile, state television broadcast the same old promises: the advent of another remarkable year of sham efficiencies and faked production quotas.”
All too recognizable in the current economic “news” pimped by the SRM, as well as Reid’s pronouncement that he will be met by overjoyed voters when he goes home to Nevada (which the SRM “news” will definitely validate after the break regardless of the reality on the ground).
Scary times...
