I understand that. I’m saying it’s something that must be addressed as we try to figure out how to bring down COSTS in our healthcare system. It just infuriates me because people don’t want to pay for anything they don’t see. But when they need it, we wind up paying the tab.
This is just the latest on the ‘slippery slope’ that is now quite steep.
Gov’t has NO place in addressing this. It was Gov’t that RAISED these costs, starting with MediCare/MedicAid, then forcing doctors to see people regardless of ability to pay.
Medical is in the shape it is in BECAUSE of Gov’t and you want more of it. Look at the mortgage industry, they were forced to give loans, because people have a ‘right’ to homes, even if they can’t pay for them. Now where is that mess, and we want Gov’t to do even more. I say HANDS OFF, BIG GOV’T, what say you?
I am being harsh to try to drive home the point that Marxism is not the answer. The costs of healthcare is on the rise due to government interference as it is. We had fine healthcare for decades until the government got involved.
Did you know that companies cannot form national health plans but must form companies within each State and not every company can participate in every State? Goverment regulation.
I could go on and one about government regulation strangling medical care, but the bottom line is government is not the answer.
Free Markets work, Healthcare Insurance destroys the Free Market. Making people pay for Health Insurance to lower costs is like trying to put out a fire by squirting gasoline on the blaze.
