Never went hungry though, and I always had a roof over my head and clothes to wear. My Dad and Mom were everyday heroes, but I bet they never fully appreciated it. God bless ‘em.

My childhood home was 900 square feet. We were a family of 4 and we had everything we needed.

I have pictures of my childhood Christmases. There are two or three things under the tree for each of us. It looks pathetic compared to today, but we were soooo happy!

I knew every kid in the neighborhood.
