Can You Always Count on a Consensus of Experts? Maybe not When it Comes to Man-Made Global Warming!

When you turn to "experts" and "authorities" the first thing that has to be done is to establish the credibility of those sources. History is full of examples where the ’consensus’ isn't only wrong, it is deadly.

Some classic historical examples are the flat earth theory and the prevailing belief that the earth was the center of the universe. Galileo discovered "it is often dangerous to be right when the authorities are wrong." The Galileo discoveries had threatened the "consensus" view of the Catholic Church, and therefore threatened their power. More recent examples include the progressive movement du jour of the early 1900s -- eugenics -- which mutated into the Holocaust. The politicization of science and resulting science community purges, imprisonments and deaths in the Soviet Union under Stalin were due to the junk science teachings of Trofim Lysenko. It turned out that it is easy to reach a consensus it you simply threaten, intimidate, imprison or execute those that dare question the orthodoxy favored by Stalin.

Scientific Consensus is an Oxymoron.

I truly am surprised that the liberal masters of propaganda have made such a faux paux by using the term “scientific consensus”. Science is reproduceable facts , not a democracy

This is the problem we are faced with...from the article

“With the recent leak of e-mails from the CRU of EAU, it is now undeniable that at a bare minimum, the “science” supporting this “theory” requires a great deal of computer programming gymnastics to manipulate the data to get the desired results. That isn’t good science; at best it is data mining, and at worse outright fraud. Worst of all, we are being lied to by some of the most trusted institutions in society, but they all share one common thread, they all benefit from this fraud either financially or by promoting a desired political agenda. The Media, Academia, “Green” Corporations, Environmental and Legal Groups, The Democratic Party, Nobel Prize and the UN.”
