This is a National Socialists and Fascists vs Corporatists battle with some minor factions holding smaller fiefdoms.
Inside the Socialist camp you have outright racial supremacists bent on population replacement through government oppression, coming from the Hispanic caucus, and healthcare industry unionist leaders who believe they will control a bigger pond and become bigger fish under nationalized industry. Inside the Fascist camp you have politicians who are controlled by one group of Corporatists who believe they can monopolize industry and trade if they control the implementation of Fascism.
The Corporatists have been either outsiders or the losers in the failed negotiations before the civil war, and also the vast numbers of socially liberal small employers who are now seeing the intended implementation of the policies they supported before realizing how detrimental it is to their own carved out privileged position in American society.
As this is occurring, the national debt is spiraling up at a parabolic rate. If a public option and a amnesty both pass in the next year, the country is permanently bankrupt before the nationalized healthcare implementation is fully rolled out anyway, so we're in the end watching pigs at the trough fighting over the last morsels of food the day before they're off to the sausage factory.
Winner!
A grand explanation. Well said.
For all the hype, Dean hasn’t yet secured a single vote to spike this monstrosity - not Burris, Sanders, Feingold etc.
KEEP FIGHTING. Reid is going to try to jamm this through on Christmas Day, believing that most people will be too distracted to care and, worse, in a forgiving spirit.
