CBO--10 Million To Lose Employer Health Care Under Senate Plan

President Obama's mantra about the public option has never changed:

“Under the reform we’re proposing, if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan.”

The unspoken part of the president's pledge is "unless of course, if your the plan forces your employer to drop coverage.

The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) took a look at that issue and reported today that 10 million people will lose employer health coverage under the present Senate plan

Gosh, I would never have imagined THAT could happen!

10 million? The Lewin Group estimated that 88 to 119 million would be forced from their existing insurance.

Will this mean that even MORE uninsured persons will be covered under the new plan ... making it even more of a success?

Let's see, 10-million Gone, 35-million Not covered.
That looks like um, hmm only 15-million will not be covered.
Maybe even as low as 100,000 will not get benefits. Or possibly
1,000 who have to go without. Next week maybe um, Ten will not
be covered.
