"Two of the most influential Republicans in the U.S. Senate these days come from South Carolina, Jim DeMint and Lindsey Graham. But Graham’s efforts to work with majority Democrats on some issues has angered many GOP voters in the state, even prompting efforts to censure him."

THIS IS GETTING DEFINITIVE, FOLKS. HUGE NEWS FROM RASMUSSEN: 18% of SC Republicans think Republicans should be more like Demint than Graham. AMONG ALL SC VOTERS, 6% more think Republicans should be more like Demint than Graham. So much for trying to grow the party by becoming moderate. At removerinos.com , we've chronicled quite a few pieces of evidence to strengthen the proposition that the G.O.P. will fare better if it moves to the right rather than left...and this evidence has arisen in just the last few weeks.

Thirty-two percent (32%) of the state’s Republican voters think the party should model itself more after Graham

OJ jurors and Obama voters...

Or do I repeat myself?

They had to take a poll to come up with that? Sheesh.

Only fifty one percent want to degrahamize the state Republican Party?

I’m very disappointed. This is a free-labor gun-friendly small town oriented state populated mostly by traditional minded people who worship regularly.

I just don’t get it.

Is it just me or do others think Lindsey Graham has been with young boys?
And not in a good way.

Sorry, rockinqsranch.I hope this doesn’t seem like shameless self-promotion (I suspect it does). Please know that winning that one, single argument is our entire raison d’etre. We sell no ads and do it all free...God bless, and your emoticon is gratefully noted.

Well, Lindsey seems to play well with the other kids in Church. It's in the “walk like a man, talk like a man” crowd that he starts to lose his way. He's a little saccharin for many of us. He does, however, remind me of the pastor of my church in the small town my parents moved to when I was 14. Awfully, sweet and devout, but if you asked him to lead the way, he'd have great anxiety.

Obviously, Lindsey is NOT from the Falwell school of preaching.

A little light in the Gucci-s, huh? Don’t know about that, but definitely could use more time on the Rugby field.

Also...I apologize for the poor wording. It should read: “Of all SC Republicans, Demint has an 18% advantage over Graham, when it comes to whom they feel the GOP should pattern itself after. AMONG ALL VOTERS, 6% .”

18% is a large lead among Republicans—6% among ALL voters is huge news. That’s shooting down a lot of David-Frum big-tent arguments.

I bet if you took this same poll in the upstate of SC that the percent would be around 80% instead of 51%. Both senators are from the upstate. The people here ARE NOT HAPPY with Graham.
