I had listened to the first part of the 911 call the other day, but listening to the entire call, I wept along with that poor woman after she was forced to shoot the thug who meant to harm her. My heart and prayers go out to her.

It must've seemed like an eternity to her, and to be so isolated from the help she so desperately pleaded for. Thank goodness she had the means to and will to protect herself.

So much for the accusation that gun owners are trigger-happy vigilantes just looking for a chance to take potshots at someone. On the contrary, she hesitated until the very last second. I’m reminded of that Texas newscaster, killed in her own bed by an intruder. If only she had had the means to kill or halt the man who brutalized her.
