No it isn’t stated as fact. It’s pretty damn good info, but never fact - as research is always ongoing. It’s so good that it’s almost never disproved, not in the major tenets.

Scientists that study various aspects that may or may not be related to evolution do so out of pursuit of knowledge. Their faith is separate.
