Ready and anxious to see America’s finest at Ft. Hood tomorrow. My heart is with every military mom, dad, spouse, child, grandparent... every supporter of our proud men and women in uniform.
My brother passed the following along to me because he thought I’d like it; he was right. Enjoy... and please honor America’s finest.

The average age of the military man is 19 years. He is a short haired, tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances is considered by society as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind the ears, not old enough to buy a beer, but old enough to die for his country. He never really cared much for work and he would rather wax his own car than wash his father’s, but he has never collected unemployment either. etc....
My daughter and I are trying to get up to see her tonight, but I don’t know if it’s going to work out.
It was announced several days ago that she would only be signing books for the troops, and that the public is not invited. Because of this, I have decided not to go.
Wonder how Chris Matthews will play this one. He’s got a double whammy with Sarah AND a military base.
Is Chris Matthews still alive? I thought he had passed on some years back.
I thought it was for soldiers and their dependents.
Crap. My daughter was going to try to go. She’s going to be crushed.

I am glad I was on the Palin thread because I found a Nader thread. I thought he was dead. Hey Ralph Nager against Obama and it is a toss up. Sarah against the all knowing Sarah-bot and it is a toss up.

Unless you are being ironic, I believe you are confusing Matthews with Tim Russert, who did die of a sudden heart attack in 2008.
Thing I love about Palin is that she actually means it. Like I said before I am a veteran, but Sarah does us much more proud than I have done. Once I returned I forgot about Iraq. That is not something I want to brag about, but it is the truth. Sarah is the human in the equation. I tend to be a dog of war; Sarah is mom.
I did not like these two lines:
1. “He never really cared much for work”, and 2. “He has trouble spelling”. Makes the military kids sound kinda lazy and dumb, IMHO.
