BG Tata is right.

Governor Palin is ready to lead our Republic and our military.

May God Bless her, and please keep her safe!

Love the review. And Brigadier General Anthony Tata.

Brigadier General (R) Anthony J. Tata
Anthony J. Tata graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1981 and retired after 28 years of uniformed service on 1 June 2009 as a Brigadier General in the U.S. Army. Tony just recently donated $27,000, the sum of his royalties so far from his novel Sudden Threat, to the USO Metro DC Hospital Services Fund for Wounded Warriors at Walter Reed and Bethesda Military Medical Centers. His new novel, Rogue Threat, will be released at the end of October 2009.

Among his many assignments as a paratrooper and combat infantryman, Tony commanded a paratrooper battalion in the 82nd Airborne Division and an air assault brigade in the 101st Airborne Division. Most recently he was the deputy commanding general of the 10th Mountain Division and Combined/Joint Task Force-76 in Afghanistan. BG Tata has deployed on combat missions and operations in Afghanistan, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bosnia, Panama, and the Philippines. He has been awarded the Combat Action Badge and Bronze Star, is a Master Parachutist and graduate of the U.S. Army's Ranger School.

Tony served as a National Security Fellow at Harvard University's JFK School of Government, has an M.A. in International Relations from the Catholic University of America, and earned a Master of Military Art and Science from the Army’s School of Advanced Military Studies. Notably, he is listed as a distinguished member of the 502nd, 504th, and 505th Parachute Infantry Regiments.

Tony is currently serving as a Broad Academy Fellow with the Eli Broad Foundation, which focuses on training superintendents and other leaders for service as superintendents in large urban school districts. After a career serving his country in uniform, Tony is finding his second calling in education reform in America. He begins as the Chief Operating Officer of DC Public Schools on June 1st 2009.

The author of the critically acclaimed fiction novel Sudden Threat, Tony continues to donate 100% of his book proceeds to the USO Metro DC Hospital Services fund for Wounded Warriors. BG Tata’s story has garnered national attention with appearances of FoxNews’ Fox and Friends Weekday and Weekend Editions, The O'Reilly Factor, America's Newsroom, The Daily Buzz with Andy Campbell and Kia Malone, local television stations around the country, and scores of nationally syndicated and local station radio interviews. On May 2, 2009, he was the keynote speaker at the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania annual Rally for the Troops on the steps of the state capitol.

Read it.

I give as much weight to book reviews that are 98% positive as I do ones that are 98% negative.

One gives me diarrhea the other diabetes. Neither is good for the system.

After reading the first couple of chapters in “Going Rogue”, I knew that..I knew that by the time she was elected Mayor of Wasilla, Sarah had far more experience than the community organizer who is raping America as I write this.

So, I’m interested. I won’t argue with your premise. Have you read the book?

And like that pipeline of ink, she seems to have an indomitable will that when attacked, unfortunately for her opponents, she doesn’t break. Her resolve seems to strengthen...... As her father said, “Sarah’s not retreating; she’s reloading.”

We should hope so, because she’s precisely the kind of leader America needs.

“Brigadier General Anthony J. Tata retired from the U.S. Army, March 6, 2009....

After his completion of the infantry officer basic course, Tony served as the executive office of B Company, 8th Battalion, 2nd Training Brigade, Fort Benning, Georgia.
After completing the Infantry Officer Advanced Course, he served as an assistant operations officer and company commander in 2-35 Armor Battalion at Fort Carson, Colorado, and was selected for the position of the division Secretary of the General Staff. The following assignment brought him to the Pentagon as a Secretary of Defense Fellow.

After graduate school, Command and General Staff Officers Course, and the School of Advanced Military Studies, Tata became the chief of plans for the 82nd Airborne Division. As the lead planner of Operation Uphold Democracy, the invasion of Haiti and the largest airborne operation since Operation Market Garden in World War II, Tata’s accomplishments led to assignments in the 82nd Airborne Division including 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment executive officer, and later as the 504th regimental executive officer.

In 1997 Tony took command of the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division where his battalion participated in Operation Jungle Warrior in Panama. After completing the Harvard University’s National Security Program at the JFK School of Government, Tata took command of the 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Deploying the brigade to Kosovo and Macedonia for Operation Joint Guardian in May 2001, BG Tata led the effort to stem the growing Muslim insurgency in Macedonia, culminating in the battle of Aracinovo on June 25, 2001. After redeploying the brigade to Fort Campbell, KY, Tony retrained the Strike Team in preparation for combat in Iraq the following year. After two years as the deputy director of the Joint Forces Command Joint Experimentation Laboratory, BG Tata served as the executive officer to the Vice Chief of Staff, Army.

Upon selection for promotion to Brigadier General, Tata was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division where he quickly deployed to Afghanistan and served as the Deputy Commanding General to the 10th Mountain Division and Combined/Joint Task Force-76, responsible for all conventional force operations in Afghanistan. Finishing 22 months with the 10th Mountain Division, BG Tata assumed responsibilities as the Deputy Director for Operations and Training of the Joint IED Defeat Organization. BG Tata’s notable awards include: the Combat Action Badge, Bronze Star, Ranger Tab and Master Parachutist Badge.”

As stated previously, no. It has been hinted I may get it for Christmas so I’ll have to wait on my own review.

But I guarantee you it will be fair.

And FWIW, if I have commented on her book so far it has only been on other book reviews and the excerpts that have been copied here.

As a forewarning, I'm not particularly a fan of political books unless they are on history or policy. Personal renditions have the flavor of Robert Ringers “Looking Out for #1!”. While they can provide insight into a politicians journey, they offer only one side to a story and lean too heavily on self aggrandizement.
