In the case of Romney, it means the following: One should not feel compelled to support a baby killing, slick talking supporter of socialized medicine in order to defeat a baby killing, slick talking supporter of socialized medicine. I won’t vote for him.
Romney’s in your head, but you’re the one that will have to deal with that. Your high ideals aren’t worth a “warn bucket of spit” unless there is a venue for them, that is my point and that is what’s missing. It’s going to take enough elected officials with those same ideals to turn the tide, we aren’t even close. We have to choose from the available talent and pompous rhetoric and slogans won’t change that. Lincoln started his war with generals that wouldn’t fight but eventually found ones that would.... Maybe we can.
Me, I’m just plugging along doing what little bit I can, hoping it is inching this nation towards a goal I think we both share. It’s a daunting task and I believe the only way it will be realized is the way it happened the first time, for the people of this nation to find grace in the eyes of the Lord. That means a spiritual, as well a political revival... anything else will result in failure. We all have to humble ourselves and ask for guidance.
I will now get off my soapbox, I feel compel me to climb on it from time to time.
