I don't see the need for Hannity to bring this snake on at all. Davis is just another cog in the gear trying to bring down what is left of The American Republic. I don't need to hear his poison.

Indeed. I have a problem with his comments, but my biggest problem is that Hannity doesn't always counter well in the arena of debate. Hannity could kill this suck-up in their discourse if he just knew what to say and how to convey it. This would certainly leave you with a different impression of what happened on the show if he did. Hannity is a great guy, but he always counters opposing viewpoints rather weakly and only to a 'draw' on his show. Rush would destroy Lanny Davis, on the other hand, and you would be cheering.
