This is not true with a huge number of ‘conservatives’. I have many witnesses here how tons of times freepers have shut down a valid argument with ‘Those are democrat talking points’.

I know liberal positions so well I could argue that side better than most liberals. Lots of us can. We swim in a liberal sea.

You doubt me?

I don't know how many conservative professors you had, but I had ZERO. Or how many conservatives newspapers you read - I read ZERO. I subscribe to four newspapers - only the Wall Street Journal has a few conservative pages - the op-ed section - and that's it. All the other pages in all the other papers are written or chosen by liberals. To the best of my knowledge, none of the local newscasters are conservative.

In the last twenty years, I've never met a teacher - grade school, high school etc who wasn't a liberal.

We know the liberal side.

We swim and live and breath and drown in a liberal sea. It's in our movies, the Sunday cartoons, most books, in the PC riddled military of Fort Hood. It's everywhere.

So, when those ideas are presented ONCE again, we get impatient. Not just because we've heard those ideas, but because we've heard them a million times. And we know many are based on lies. Like Global warming. Can you name a new idea dems have had in the last 40 years? Really - just one?

RE :”Not just because we've heard those ideas, but because we've heard them a million times

I am not talking about liberal ideas. I am talking about where republicans are wrong and ‘conservative’ talk radio defends the wrong ideas as a religious belief, and the listeners automatically assume as told that those contrary opinions must be shut down (and they dont want them to be true). This is not a problem now when democrats are in charge, it is only really a problem when republicans are in charge. Here's a few I have come up with that setup the talk radio firing quads:

1) Your tax cut did not pay for itself, sorry, anymore than free health care will pay for itself, or the stimulus tax credit and tax rebate checks will pay for themselves
2) The post Sept 11 ‘Bush’ recovery (as sold by talk radio)was a fraud
, and led to the crash
3) Bush promoted CRA risky policies, was not the fighting hero against them, funded ACORN too
4) If Bush had promoted invading and rebuilding Iraq as a national priority as he did, but also opposed his own and others expensive deficit domestic spending programs as not affordable, Kerry would have been president. But talk radio claims this would have been winning political strategy. This is not promoting what Bush did, it is pointing out a major logical flaw.

Liberals will shoot bullets at republicans in power for everything that goes wrong, but a few of those bullets are bound to hit real targets given republicans in power long enough. But many ‘conservatives’ are trained to tune it all out, shut it all down, and wake up surprised that two elections were lost.
