The Longhorns have clinched the Big 12 South and will face off against Nebraska on December 5th. But first the Longhorns have to contend with their rival Texas A&M. The Longhorns are ranked 3rd in the BCS standings but the Aggies offense is ranked number 7 in the nation and could prove to be a challenge. After all, this is a game of rivalry and pride, ingredients that often fuel an upset, and the last thing the Longhorns need is a repeat upset of 2007. An upset is exactly what the Aggies are looking for.

A&M had their chances but when making an upset bid, defenders getting their hands on the ball must make the picks.
That A&M QB looked fantastic, but their defense just couldn’t slow Texas down.
One of the best games I’ve watched for some time....Aggies could and probably should have taken it with some infuriating turnovers and defensive lapses (their secondary was on an island).
Yep! McCoy is slated to be in Heisman contention and he wasn't even the best quarterback on the field. McCoy completed 24 of 40 passes for 304 yards and ran for a career-high 175 yards on 18 carries (i.e., he tried to throw the ball but couldn't) against the 11th worst pass defense in the nation. But Johnson was even more spectacular, completing 26 of 33 passes for 342 yards with four TD passes against the Longhorns' 3rd ranked defense.
I'm more impresed with J. Johnson. Heisman indeed ...
Any Tennessee Graduates out there? Colt McCoy has a little brother that is real good too....someone get a call to Peyton Manning and try to get him in the SEC.
I was reading somewhere that 5 of the 7 most effiecient offenses (3rd downs, completion percentages...) were in the state of Texas:
Texas Longhorns
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Texas A&M Fightin Aggies
Texas Christian Horned Frogs
Houston Cougars
All 5 will be bowl bound (possibly SMU as well), and 2 will be in the BCS (TCU, Texas). One of the BCS teams will be in the national title game.
Houston beat 2 Big 12 teams, Tech beat Oklahoma and Nebraska, A&M beat Tech in Lubbock, and TCU and Texas have beaten everyone they played. Lets hear it for Texas college football!
Truly a great game. Texas has too many weapons.
