Concord-Carlisle High School is promoting a take-down of family values on Thanksgiving Day – engineered by Mr. Peter Atlas, an old friend of Kevin Jennings (Obama’s “Safe Schools czar” and founder of GLSEN).

A few years back, we reported on Concord-Carlisle High School’s disgraceful hosting of the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus on Palm Sunday. Now they’re at it again. Under the direction of perennial gay-activist CCHS math teacher Peter Atlas, CCHS students are performing “Falsettos” in December -- a musical pushing polyamory, bisexuality and homosexuality.

And this is one of the most expensive, upscale suburbs of Boston... doesn’t get much “nicer” than Concord.

Remember when schools used to teach reading, writing, and ‘rithmatic ? I don’t EVEN want to know what they’re having the boys do to each other in the showers...

I agree completely. Why do schools have to say anything about homosexuality and these alternative lifestyle at all? Why do they have to give “equal time” so to speak? The whole point of sex education, we were told, was to teach our young people about male and female, how reproduction works, etc. None of that has anything to do with homosexual polyamory.

Why do schools have to celebrate diversity with our minor children? If any of these kids want to celebrate diversity, they can do so when they are legally adults. They can go to The Castro and explore these lifestyles when they are legally of age and on their own. We don’t need to talk about it in school.

Homosexuality should be as shunned a subject as they have made religion in the schools. The PC crowd and court decisions have said that religion has no place in school. That’s exactly my feeling about all this homo-poly stuff in school. It doesn’t belong there and should not be in school in the first place.

Put it this way, it’s a subject for science class, covered as you would any other dysfunction, and then on to the next topic. It’s truly appalling we’ve gone from Oscar Wilde’s the love that dare not speak its name to the love that won’t shut the hell up.

Actually, public schools were never designed to promote knowlege and skills. They’re just more obvious about it now.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

They’re working on that. Give them time.

They know that if you push too far, too fast, people will be more likely to resist it.

You’ve got to make them numb and blind first.

The public schools are keeping the homeschooling ping list busy this Thanksgiving, aren’t they?

The constant harping on Romney on this site is strange. You know it just may backfire.
