In other words, constitutionally, Congress has no authority to do things like take over our health care, private businesses, or even schools, but they are directed to defend the nation and the Constitution.

These aren't Palin's words, they are the author's. And they are incorrect. In order for something to be "constitutional", it merely has to be deemed constitutional by the Supreme Court. The Constitution means whatever they say it means. And nowadays, it means that just about anything is Constitutional. It's a design flaw that was obvious at the time of ratification (see Antifederalist Papers 80-84). It's just one reason the Constitution should be junked.

Here’s how serious I am about sharing the pain. I’m willing to sacrifice the ENTIRE Department of Education. Zero it out and use the savings to finance our wars. Now congressman, what are YOU willing to sacrifice?
