Drop Dead Gorgeous???

Come on now. She finally dressed the part, but a fresh coat of paint on a rotten house makes it look good, it doesnt fix the problem.

Sorry, dressing her up doesn’t change a thing. She’s still a harridan.

I’d still prefer a little more substance. World leaders observed from his recent trips to Asia that there wasn’t a lot of substance to obama.

The catchy slogans don’t mean much to them.

Finally a great dress for her. I wonder if she got a new stylist?

Yep.
Someone took charge and made her look like a real First Lady.
Not bad.

Hate to have to say it but I agree. Astounding transformation. Will it last? I don’t think so. After all, they were both on stage last night and the world revolves around them so they believe everyone was watching and they put their best foot forward.

I give absolute kudos for the dress (when she’s STILL)....like I did last night. Then..this morning...I woke up to F&F and caught a glimpse of her ‘walking’ in it. A thing of beauty is wasted when it is put on a ‘clod’. She just doesn’t know how to carry herself. Someone in the WH seriously needs to teach her a lesson in ‘poise and grace’.

I grudgingly agree - she looked quite good.

RE: “appeared to be having a good time” - Maybe she recently upped her Prozac dosage.

I think Michelle must have a new fashion advisor. She’s looked downright presentable the last few days. Maybe she’s finally getting the message (or reading the Aunt Esther references on FR!).

For the first time in my life, I was proud of our First Lady.

So, you weren't ever proud of any First Lady? Really? You live in the same sad blame all your imagined problems on someone else world as MO of "For the first time in my life, I'm proud of my country" fame. So what, the dress for once was fine, but I don't judge a book by it's cover.

The dress was absolutely beautiful. That’s where the credit is due.

She is still unfortunately awkward, ungainly and homely. It’s really very sad.

Thank someone for coming to her rescue. I have previously stated that her clothes seemed to be the result of an adolescent buying binge on the taxpayers’ dime.

Perhaps her improved threads will bring our snarky threads to a halt. It hasn’t reflected well on our civility - but we FReepers have been pretty damn funny.

Poor Dems; M.O. is still not Jackie O.

How much did *we* pay for our lovely dress?

With a staff of 22, and salaries totaling over $1.5 million per year, she better look good.

Here’s the inspiration for her gown (when I saw the photo, I instantly remembered I’d owned one similar, years ago):
