Swiftboating. What a very dynamic and interesting concept with two opposite meanings. On the one end of the meaning is the exposure of a fraud with damnable facts about their history and character. On the opposite end of the spectrum?

An attack about history and character.

Well, maybe they aren’t so different. But the left and right seem to percieve the same concept in radically different lights.

These lefties penetrated the scientists ranks for exactly that reason.

They couldn’t very well take over a religion and the state can’t create a religion. So Science was a natural choice.

Now that the trust is destroyed by these antics. Now what?

I guess it is just like Obama’s Appointee said. They believe real power comes at the end of a gun.

They will only be left with trying to subvert the military against the people. When that day comes, will the military be on the side of the people or on the side of the state?

I think they will fail in this too.

A lot of people are going to be killed by these jokers though. As you have seen, nothing is wrong as long as it is for the cause. It is scary that the country doesn’t wake up to this.

Some years ago I posted my definition of "Swiftboat":

Swift boating should be defined as the exposing of a poltroon who inflates his biography.

This is often confused, quite deliberately by the mainstream media, with "borking" which should be defined as "attack viciously a candidate or appointee, especially by misrepresentation in the media.” According to William Safire in The New York Times.

Our mission on FreeRepublic should be to "Swift boat" the unworthy and to prevent the "borking" of the worthy.

Yesterday I read a similar article under a different headline and I thought that I ought to post this definition but thought I ought to refresh myself about the Swiftboating episode so I went quickly to Wikipedia and was disappointed to read a series of articles there that make the case which has been accepted by the mainstream media, to wit, that John Kerry was unfairly libeled by John O'Neill and the Swift boat veterans for truth.

I wonder if there is a definitive treatment of this subject somewhere which gives a "fair and balanced" account of the episode and does justice to the veterans? I would like to have the resource ready for such occasions as this.
