This tracks with previous reports here and here from several weeks ago that Obama was looking for a negotiated settlement with the Taliban and was considering which provinces to cede to them.

I was just going to post in this thread that I saw another thread about someone in the Obama admin on video?? passing messages for Obama??? I will look at your links to see if I recognize it. I posted in the thread and I can’t find it.
