Simply not true. As a Catholic I have never heard of any Catholic worshipping Mary instead of Jesus. If they do they are not following the teachings of the church.
We honor Mary as the mother of Jesus, but do not put her in place of our Lord.
To honor Mary pleases Jesus, her son.

It is true, I believe they call themselves Maryologists or something to that effect.
Please don’t take this as an attack on Catholics, that was not my intent. My intent was to show how misguided some are and will use faith to push their cause.
Holy Mary mother Of God please pray for us?.....Christ never once mentioned Mary as an intercessor for us.....Book of Hebrews states Jesus offered Himself once so that we can come boldly to the Throne of Grace in time of need through Him directly.......I think Christ Himself would call the Pope and all the other beautifully adorned leaders hypocrites as He did the publicans also....They enjoy the upper most seats and bear heavy burdens upon the people but lift not one finger of their own.....Christ said you have one Father in Heaven and to call no man on earth Father.....The Apostle Paul wrote if any man preach any other gosple than that which we have delivered let him be accursed........
