To: Federalist Patriot

I used to like Barbour, though now I’m not sure why. I do hear he’s a good governor, however. But he’s like Newt and McCain and all the old establishment RINOs who harbor or have harbored their own presidential aspirations, they are almost insufferably condescending. Barbour talks about how others ‘like’ and ‘care for her’ in the party, when she’s obviously got more political power and talent and firmness of principle than any Republican has had in 20+ years—themselves included.

Well Barbour is no RINO and usually pretty straight. My take on this is Barbour doesn’t take Palin very seriously.

I have liked Barbour since he engineered the "revolution of '94." Newt was the front man but Barbour had the RNC up and running like a well-oiled machine. Plus, he had that good ol' homespun way of disarming the terminally constipated a-holes of the MSM before they were even known as such.

I suspect he's keeping his cards close to the vest, which at this point is good enough for me.
