As I publish, there are 33 "no" votes from the dems. These five would bump that to 38. Remember, 41 is the magic number.

Rep. Ben Chandler (D-KY): Continues To Have Reservations About The Bill. Chandler spokeswoman Jennifer Krimm said her boss would be going over the bill "to see whether or not it meets the needs of Kentucky families." "Chandler will continue to have reservations about any bill that does not lower costs ...

I pray to you dear God that you enter the hearts and minds of these undecided members of the House and instruct them to vote in favor of the American people with a NO to the PelosiCare bill this evening and in the future. Thank you God. Amen.

Stupak amendment defeat (supposedly on voice vote with roll call pending) can throw a monkey wrench into the whole thing.

Does anyone, any one, think this will not pass?

My local rep Chet Edwards which has been sitting on the fence waiting to see if his vote would be needed, voted no today. To me that means he was cut loose to vote to save his skin because they don't need him.

Tim Holden here in PA is in a district that will not forgive a yes vote.

If Rep. Chet Edwards is on the fence, keep calling, faxing or emailing him to vote no. Please don’t assume his vote is not needed and we will lose. EVERY no vote will help. And do NOT give up. Do you think Pelosi will give up?

We now have 212 firm votes - we need 6 more.

The GOP leadership is doing the right thing on the Stupak amendment for the long term battle.

If this bill is passed and goes to conference with the Stupak language, all Hell will break loose among the RATS when the Stupak language is stripped in conference, thus killing the bill when it truly counts.

I am weary of splaining this on multiple threads and I am done.

He already voted against it.

My point was that because he voted against it, that signals to me they have the votes needed without him, otherwise they wouldn’t have cut him loose.

Maybe he voted against it because he wants to keep his job, and is more afraid of his constituents than Pelosi.

I wish my rep Patrick Murphy PA-8 was even worth pestering. He always votes exactly how Nancy tells him to. He claims he is a blue dog but never votes with them unless it is a coincidence. I am praying he is voted out in 2010.
