Palin remains a potent force in national politics even after her abrupt resignation as Alaska's governor. Her future political plans - including the possibility of a presidential run in 2012 - remain unclear. She has kept in touch with tens of thousands of her admirers through online social networking tools.
She used President Barack Obama's mantra of change to make her political points. "Let's talk about change we can believe in," Palin said. "Friends, a majority of Americans identify as pro life, and thank God for that." She called health care reform a "government takeover" and called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to at least allow a congressional vote to prohibit federally sponsored health insurance plans to pay for abortions.
"I feel real change is just up ahead," she said. "Wisconsin, we need to ramp it up."She brought the crowd to its feet with a simple closing line: "Don't let anyone ever tell you to sit down and shut up."
Sarah is just so awesome. No wonder Obama is wee weed up whenever her name is mentioned
i'd love to see how she delivered that line. i know she believes it... as she wouldn't sit down & shut up when mccain's camp was trying to reign her in.
THIS is the type of 'gumption' the country was founded on and is sorely lacking
(this woman could be my 2nd most favorite president, behind President Reagan, of course)
I was there when she delivered that line with emphasis, and it sounded even better than when you read it. The crowd was stomping and cheering for her. Lengthy, lengthy ovations throughout her 50 minute address.
Her speech was filled with quotes, statistics, heart-warming a personal anecdotes. She was in great form and the crowd (largest Wiscnonsin Right to Life ever) loved her. The crowd was filled with people from all over — IL, MN, IA represented. One guy even shouted out NY in answer to her question. Nearly 5000 people were there last night.
Lots of state level politicians there too and both announced Gubenatorial candidates. (Both Republicans — Dems haven’t got a candidate yet.)
Sarah was AWESOME and in AWESOME form last night. And she looked beautiful too. Slim, trim, and pretty as ever. She looks like she has lost a little weight since the McCain campaign, but she was still nursing Trig then, so that could be the difference.
you are one lucky duck.......wish I could see her and hear her speak.
I need to add that she was wearing a red suit with a ] collar that rested on her collar bone and a short string of white pearls just inside. The suit had a pencil skirt and she wore high heeled pumps — red, I think, but I could be wrong about that.
She was drop-dead gorgeous.

...I’m with you on that! Every time I think she may stumble or go Rino on me she just continues to do and say the right thing!
“She was drop-dead gorgeous”.
...I don’t care what she wears. Her attitude and absolute committement to conservatism makes her “drop dead gorgeous” 24/7 to me!
Sounds great. Sounds like a great event and everyone is pumped up!
This was my 2nd time — I was about 5 rows away from her when she and McCain came to speak in Cedarburg, directly from the Republican Convention where they were nominated.
This was not a political speech, however. This was a pro-life speech. “We’re for babies” she said at the beginning, “and isn’t that great?”
But, Sarah, in rare form, delivered political jabs at the present administration throughout her 50 minute address, which made the crowd roar at every mention.
THat is true, but the fact that she was drop-dead gorgeous in regular terms makes her appealing to those who haven't developed as refined perceptions as you have. LOL.
I meant to add, please add anything that I have missed that you remember. I wish I had a transcript of her speech — it was so good.
This woman just oozes class and authenticity. She just gets better and better every day.
What's not gorgeous? Just saying that is
Ping!

Naturally, Politico said there was only a standing ovation at the end, and everyone pretty much remained quiet through the entire speech. I’ve read other accounts, beside yours that says otherwise, hmmmm, who to believe, Politico’s guy, or people who were actually there. I think I’ll go with those who were there.
