Sadly, it will be Mitt Romney.
MR will not even make it out of the primary process.
If it’s Romney, millions of us will sit it out or do a write in.
I voted for the lesser of two evils with McCain and I refuse to do it again. I’ll choke to death on my own vomit.
It will NOT be Mitt Romney. If Michael Steele survives another few years in his position, and steadfastly refuses to LEARN anything from the New Republican Majority, and he tries to foist a handpicked ‘sure thing’ like Romney down our throats, well, he just won’t be able to do it.
I think we’re onto him already, and he’s a sure loser.
Romney has ZERO charisma, appeal, and he’s really not even that good looking. Kinda robotic.
If Mitt is Pete, who is repeat? Probably Huck. Seriously though, I think a Mitt ticket is going to result in a repeat of NY 23. I am still exited about Sarah, so I will remain hopeful. The problem is that I am not overly willing to believe the first person who comes out of left field and claims to be a conservative. Sarah has a history. People may not always agree with her history, but it is out there in the open, and that is why I trusts her. In 2012 I am voting based on conservative values plus trustworthiness. Mitt does not meet any of those criteria and Sarah meets both.
If the Republicans nominate Romney, it would be like going backwards another 4 years--to Nixon. I don't think I can stomach that. I guarantee you, 100 percent, without a doubt, that Romney would get stomped by Obama. Might as well go third party at that point, because if you hold your nose and vote for Romney you will be wasting your vote just as surely as if you happily vote for a conservative.
It will take a conservative to attack Obama as the anti-American, marxist destroyer of our country that he is. It can be Palin, DeMint, Bachman, Jindal, Limbaugh, I don't care, but they better have the mental agility and toughness to defend themselves against a media onslaught the likes of which no one has seen before. If you thought they were in the tank last time, wait til you see the media with the power of government behind them.
Much depends on the results of the 2010 elections. If Obama is not derailed in those elections, he will be pretty tough to beat in 2012, no matter who is running. He'll be like Chavez, and just like Chavez, he'll start talking about a third term around 2013.
