More than 10,000 people turned out Monday night for a North Houston Tea Party Patriots gathering to protest proposed health care reform and big government spending.
Crowds packed the field at the Sam Houston Race Park and cheered loudly as speakers called for the people to take control of the American government. Wearing slogans that said Dont Tread on Me and T-shirts stating, I am a Tea Party Patriot I will defend our Constitution, those attending the event enthusiastically showed support for more constraints on the government and more personal freedom.

Of course, the State Run Media will report it as only a “few” straggling supporters...
Yeah and Morales the CONSERNATIVE in the Mayoral Race got 20 % of the vote.
Talk about shock from the media. considering he had no funding and little or no media coverage. He did great.
Parker has been claiming she is a Conservative even though she is a Dem.
If Houston will give a Conserv 20%, maybe Repub establishment better start paying attention and help with funds.

I had never even heard of Morales until a few days before the election. I heard about him on FR. Feel ashamed Houston Comical, feel ashamed!
I blame the local Repub establishment for this. Why didn’t they throw their weight behind him in a big way? I hope he doesn’t bow out, but builds a strong org for the next election in 2 years.
I was getting campaign stuff from Parker touting her Conservative values. (fiscal ofcourse) We’ll see.
