All the stories about this election cycle have been all about NY 23 with CA 10 and afterthought with no further information.

In a nutshell how's it looking out there?

This website has been designated as a bogus trap for Conservatives...They post untrue articles, that have all the sound of authenticity.

Be aware.

If an R pulls out this seat, democrats around the country will literally be crapping themselves. Personally I'd say the seat stays D, but with the smallest margin in a long long time.

I'd love to be wrong and see the R win, but an R winning in San Fran is like Pelosi having a clue.. not likely to happen.

As others have pointed out, this is not a reliable source.

I think Harmer could have won, with some support and funding from the national party (NRCC), or from some national conservative PACs.

Garamendi is likely to win, but it could be close. The Dems have pulled out everything for Garamendi in this district. He has had campaign appearances with Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Also, the DCCC (and/or the DNC) have been running television ads for about the past week.

This is a district that usually goes 2 to 1 for the Democrat (it went 3 to 1 for Tauscher in 2002, 2 to 1 in every election since). If this is a 54/45 race, it represents major dissatisfaction with the Democrats. If it goes Republican, it could stop everything legislatively in the House and the Senate (many Dems would be scared to vote for the Pelosi/Reid/Obama agenda).

Harmer got a donation from me, and a week and a half of pushing in my sig and posts. But the NRCC dropped the ball on this race.

From the desk of
cc2k:
Candidates I support: Doug Hoffman for Congress, NY 23rd (PayPal), David Harmer for Congress, CA 10th (website for info).

Please, spread the word about these important special elections on November 3, 209: New York’s 23rd congressional district and California’s 10th congressional district.
